V.E.I · Serve. Learn. Build. Go.

Volunteer & Mission Portal

Serve locally, online or across nations. Offer the skills you have, learn new ones, grow through biblical and practical training, and carry Christ's love with excellence.

Serve. Learn. Build. Go.

An application does not guarantee acceptance or placement. Some roles require references, training and a separate authorized background check. A background check is not a judgment of faith or moral worth.

Biblical foundation

“…and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.” — Acts 18:3
“…we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you.” — 1 Thessalonians 2:9

Paul worked alongside Aquila and Priscilla and labored so as not to burden those he served. We draw from this a principle of skilled, faithful work joined to ministry — not a rule that every missionary must be financially independent. Many are rightly supported by the church.

Safety, fairness & FAQ

Draft — owner review required · not legal advice or final terms

  • • Volunteering or applying does not guarantee placement in any role.
  • • International service does not guarantee a visa, immigration sponsorship, employment or relocation.
  • • Licensed professions (for example medicine, nursing, electrical or legal work) require appropriate credentials and supervision; portal training does not authorize licensed practice.
  • • Give Goods items are offered free by members. Recipients should inspect every item before accepting it.
  • • VEI does not guarantee the condition or safety of member-posted items.
  • • Use public pickup locations whenever possible, and bring someone with you if you can.
  • • Service with minors or vulnerable people requires safeguarding rules, training and any lawful checks before starting.

Background-check provider not connected — background checks are NOT AVAILABLE. Roles that require one stay closed.

How we look for good character, fairly: a Code of Conduct you agree to, short integrity questions, a conversation with the team, references you consent to, and training. Where a role legally requires it, a separate background check happens only through a provider's own secure consent form. No one is declined automatically, and no ethics or faith score is ever used. V.E.I volunteering does not include work with children.

Is volunteering paid?

No. Volunteer work is unpaid unless a separate paid role is formally approved and described as such.

Are Mission Marketplace purchases donations?

No. Purchase revenue, charitable donations and volunteer activity are kept separate. Purchases are not tax-deductible donations.

Who can see my profile?

Your volunteer profile, applications and readiness passport are visible only to you and authorized reviewers. Nothing is shown publicly.

What do you collect when I apply?

Only what's needed to review: interests, skills, availability and why you want to serve. Emergency contacts, travel documents and medical details are never collected at application — only later, if a specific placement truly requires them.

Is there a faith score or ranking?

No. There is no spiritual score, ranking or leaderboard. Training shows only progress status.
